Kisan Mukti March in Delhi: Opposition Unity on Display at Farmers' Protest; Rahul Gandhi Says, 'PM Narendra Modi Gives Empty Speeches'
In an attempt to show their unity against the central government, Various opposition leaders including Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah have joined the farmers protest at Jantar Mantar.
New Delhi, November 30: In an attempt to show their unity against the central government, various opposition leaders including Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah have joined the farmers protest at Jantar Mantar on Friday. Speaking at the protest, Gandhi hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Congress chief said, “Modi ji had promised MSP will be increased, PM promised bonus, but look at the situation right now, empty speeches are being given and nothing else.”
He further added, “If the loans of industrialists can be waived off, then the debt of farmers must be waived off as well. I assure the farmers of India, we are with you, don't feel afraid.” Check here for live updates of farmer's protest:

Earlier in the day, Communist Party of India - Marxist (CPI-M) Sitaram Yechury also slammed the Prime Minister for not been able to fulfil the demands of the farmers of the country. While speaking at the protest, “Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Modi and Rashtriya Sawamsewak Sangh (RSS) have only one weapon in hand that is Ram Temple. As the elections are approaching, they have started chanting Ram Ram.”
Farmers' Protest at Jantar Mantar:
Yesterday, farmers from various states gathered at the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi and started their march towards Sansad Marg (Parliament Street) on Friday morning. The two-day protest by the farmers is to make the Union government aware of the plight of ailing farmers in the nations. The protest march is organised by All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC), All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS), Swaraj Abhiyan and various other organisations. The farmers are demanding a special 21-day session of the Parliament on the agrarian crisis.
