Kochi, May 24: In another incident of medical apathy in the country, a doctor in Kerala’s Malappuram district wrongly performed a hernia surgery on a boy instead of a nasal surgery. Reports inform that the seven-year-old boy had come to get a growth in his nasal passage removed but instead got operated for some other ailment. According to a report by PTI, the incident took place after the doctor allegedly mistook the names of two patients and operated the victim in the stomach instead of removing the nasal polyps. Medical Apathy: 60-Year-Old Patient Declared Dead by Doctors of Delhi Ganga Ram Hospital, Found Alive While Being Taken for Last Rites.
