Kollam, May 3: The Kerala Police on Friday have seized a car with a sticker of Osama bin Laden's face. According to the reports, as Iravipuram Police quotes, the car was originally registered in West Bengal.
As per the report, the news came to light after people travelling in in another vehicle clicked a picture of the sticker and sent it to the police. With reports of terror activity being speculated, the driver of the car stated that they had hired it from a resident of Pallimukku for a wedding. However, when the owner was summoned, he stated that he had bought the car from West Bengal around a year ago.
Though the passengers and car owner were released on bail, but have been asked to report to the police station whenever summoned. With Sri Lanka, the serial blast took place two weeks ago, central intelligence agencies have also begun the investigation into the case. Also, after the blasts, south Indian states are on high alert
In the wake of the Sri Lanka blasts, Kerala DGP Loknath Behera said that the state police is on high alert. He had said, as First Post reports, "Alerts were also issued to Indian Coast Guard, Commandos and Bomb Detachment Squad. An analysis of large volumes of technical data like phone calls, social media activities is being done daily."
