Kochi, February 24: Tragedy stuck upon a family after a 13-year-old boy ended his life over the unexpected death of his pet fish in Kerala's Malappuram. The class 8 boy hanged himself to death on Friday at around 8 am. He was found hanging on the terrace when his family went in search of him.
According to media reports, the deceased boy was identified as Roshan R Mohan, son of Raveendran of Changaramkulam. He was fond of fish and had an aquarium at his home. Reportedly, his pet fish died a few days ago, following which Roshan got pretty depressed. On Friday morning, he went on the terrace to feed his pet doves. Upon noticing Roshan's absence, the family members started looking for him. They went up on the terrace as it was the last place he had mentioned. There, they found him hanging from a plastic rope inside a shed built on the terrace. The family members rush him to a hospital, but he was declared brought dead. According to Matrubhoomi, the dead body is kept in the mortuary of Sunrise hospital in Changaramkulam and will be handed over to the family only after the police probe.
