Kottayam, November 28: Humiliated for two-and-a-half years over a fake nude video, a woman based in Kerala's Kochi won her first battle. The forensic department report, disclosed on Monday, confirmed she was not in the nude video circulated a couple of years ago on a WhatsApp group in Kochi region.

The woman, who resides in Kochi and is a native of Thodupuzha, saw her family life being crippled due to the fake footage. Her husband had divorced her after the video emerged, despite the police complaint filed by her against the miscreant who posted the clip. Home 'Most Dangerous Place' For Women Across The World, Find New UN Study.

The FIR was registered by her in Ernakulam South police station in 2016, after an employee in her husband's office posted the video on a WhatsApp group. Alongside the video, he captioned the victim's name.

The case was transferred to the cyber cell, whose report was inconclusive as it stated that the woman in the video is "not the complainant", but bore similarity to her.

The footage was subsequently transferred to the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC). The Thiruvananthapuram-based body published a conclusive report on November 26, confirming that the nude woman is not the complainant.

With this confirmation, the victim is firm on not only winning the legal battle against miscreant who posted the clip alongside her name, but also reclaim custody of her two children from her husband.
