Kerala: Clash Breaks Out in Thiruvananthapuram's University College; 1 Student Injured
A third-year student of Thiruvananthapuram's University College in got injured during a clash that broke out between the members of Students' Federation of India (SFI) and other students of the college on Friday. The injured student was identified as Akhil. He was admitted to the medical college.
Thiruvananthapuram, July 12: A third-year student of University College in Thiruvananthapuram got injured during a clash that broke out between the members of Students' Federation of India (SFI) and other students of the institute on Friday. The scuffle broke out at around 12 noon. According to a report published in Times Now, Akhil had skipped the class and was talking to his friends outside the campus when SFI student asked him to go inside the class. As Akhil refused, an argument broke out between the two groups. After which the SFI students allegedly stabbed him.
After the incident, Students of the University College protested outside the college against the SFI which is a student wing of the Communist Party of India. The University College is regarded as a strong bastion of SFI.

Last year, a 20-year-old undergraduate student of Ernakulam Maharaja College was stabbed to death allegedly by members of Campus front in Kochi. The deceased student who was identified as Abhimanyu was a member of SFI. He was pursuing B.Sc Environmental Chemistry and lived in Vatavada village of Idukki.
