Hyderabad, December 17: Telangana is set to have two new districts- Mulugu and Narayanpet, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday directed the officials to start the process of formation of two new districts which he promised during the recently concluded assembly elections in the state. In just five days of returning to power, KCR has directed Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department Rajeshwar Tiwari to take necessary steps for the same. After the rejig, the state would have a total 33 districts. The CM told the officials to initiate the process of formation of Korutla revenue division and Ghattuppal Mandal in Nalgonda district and Mallampally manual in Bhupalapally district. He also suggested that Jalgaon's Gundala Mandal should be merged into Yadadri Bhuvangiri district. K Chandrasekhar Rao Appoints Mohammad Mahmood Ali as Telangana's Home Minister.
Keeping his election promises in mind, every person above the age of 57 should be provided with the old-age pension. The Chief Minister instructed chief secretary SK Joshi to outline modalities to identify the eligible persons. The CM further said after the details of the beneficiary will be ready, adequate budgetary provision will be made for 2019-2020 and the pension scheme would come into effect from 1 April 2019.
