Jammu And Kashmir: 11 Including Seven Civilians Killed in Encounter, Clashes at Pulwama
As per to the initial report, among the three terrorists killed, one was an ex-soldier.
Pulwama, December 15: Security forces on Saturday gunned down three Hizbul terrorists in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. As per to the initial report, among the three terrorists killed, one was an ex-soldier - identified as Zahoor Thakur. One Indian soldier also was also martyred in the encounter and two are injured. Seven civilians also lost their lives in the post-clash with the security officials.
As per the reports, more terrorists are speculated to be hiding in the vicinity, and security forces are keeping a tight vigil. The search operation is still underway, and the entire area has been cordoned. Jammu And Kashmir: Two Terrorists Gunned Down in Sopore Encounter
On Thursday too, security forces had gunned down two terrorists in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district. Soon after the encounter the forces – troops of 179 Battalion of CRPF, Special Operation Group (SOG), 22 RR, CRPF Range Quick Action Team, Baramulla – sanitised the area.
The gun-battle took place between the holed up militants and security forces at Baratkalan-Gund Mohalla of Sopore town on Wednesday. As the encounter broke out, the authorities suspended mobile internet services in Sopore town as a precautionary measure.
