Islamabad, July 2: India and Pakistan officials will meet on July 14 to finalise the modalities of the Kartarpur Corridor. Officials of both the countries will meet at Wagah in Pakistan. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan said that on Tuesday it had conveyed to India regarding the same. Kartarpur Corridor Talks: Pakistan to Construct Bridge on Ravi River.
Pakistan Foreign Affairs Ministry said, “Pakistan, today, conveyed to India that the second meeting to discuss the draft agreement for finalizing the modalities of Kartarpur Corridor and related technical issues will be held on 14th July 2019 at Wagah.” According to reports, India had earlier proposed dates between July 11 and 14 to Pakistan to hold the meeting.

The last meeting regarding the corridor was held in May to discuss the modalities for a corridor linking Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Punjab's Gurdaspur district to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur across the border. That meeting took place at the Kartarpur Zero Point. It lasted for two hours. The first meeting was held in March this year. Pakistan will build the corridor from the Indian border to the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, while the other part from Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur up to the border will be constructed by India. The corridor will be opened in November on the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the first guru of Sikhs.
