Karnataka: Under Construction Building Collapses in Bengaluru’s Thyagarajanagar Area, One Body Recovered

Bengaluru, November 10: An under-construction building collapsed in Karnataka on Saturday evening. According to a tweet by ANI, the incident took place in Bengaluru's Thyagarajanagar area. According to a fire department official, two people, who were working inside the building were feared trapped. The official informed that one of the labourers managed to run out and informed them about another person.

The official further added saying that the body was recovered and sent to the hospital. In the last month, at least 17 people were rescued of which three died after an under-construction building in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur collapsed.  According to a report by ANI, the two-story building collapsed around 3:30 PM.

Earlier in September, a fourteen-year-old girl was killed and over 33 persons injured when an old building they were standing on collapsed at Hospet in Ballari district of Karnataka. Reports inform that the incident occurred at Chithvadgi layout in Hospet in Ballari district where the people had gathered to watch an early morning procession for Moharram.
