Chikkamagaluru, November 26: In a shocking case, a three-year-old boy was attacked with a knife by an aide working with an Anganwadi (rural childcare centre) at Keremakki village in Karnataka's Chikkamagaluru district on Monday, November 25. The accused, identified as Mala, attacked Amit causing injuries on the back of the head, the report said. The minor was immediately rushed to the district hospital and received stitches for his wound. According to the police, Amit was severely wounded in the attack and bleeding profusely. "The aide was angered by the child for urinating in the room and she has attacked him with a knife. The teacher working at the anganwadi - Manjula - was speaking over the phone at the time and was present when the incident occurred," a police official told TNM.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the teacher and the aide after a complaint by minor's mother. A case has been registered under sections 144, 323 and 324 of the Indian Penal Code.
