Bengaluru, October 21: At least two people were injured after an explosion was reported at platform No 1 at the Hubli (Huballi) railway station in Karnataka. As soon as the incident was reported, Police rushed to the spot to take a stock of the situation. Reports inform that it was a minor explosion. The injured ones have been admitted to a hospital nearby. The cause of the explosion is yet to ascertained.
According to reports, a box, carried by an unidentified man, is said to have exploded. The incident took place at Hubli Junction, a railway junction station under Hubli railway division of South Western Railway zone (SWR) of Indian Railways situated in Hubli, Karnataka. According to a report by NewsNation, the blast took place in front of Station Superintendent office at the Hubli station. Soon after the explosion took place, the bomb and dog squads are present at the spot to establish the reason behind the explosion.
