Tehri Garhwal, July 28: Four people were killed after the jeep carrying them met an accident on NH 94 (Rishikesh-Gangotri) near Bagaddhar in Uttarakhand's Tehri Garhwal district on Sunday, reported news agency ANI. Reports inform that the deceased were kanwariyas and were going to Haridwar for collecting Ganga water. Uttarakhand: Bus Falls Into Gorge in Pauri District; 2 Dead, 16 Injured.

The visuals from the incident spot were shared by the news agency ANI, which also tweeted pictures of the rescue operations. In the visuals, a JCB can be seen clearing the way for Force Motor's Trax Cruiser.
On June 24, a Kanwariya, a devotee of Lord Shiva, died in a road accident after a tempo carrying a group of Kanwariyas was hit by another vehicle on Saharanpur-Haridwar highway. In the incident, 13 other people were seriously injured. Those injured were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
