Kanpur, Sep 7: A youth along with his friend beat a teenager to death for talking to his girlfriend. The incident took place in Kidwai Nagar locality in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur on Wednesday. The victim, a student of Class 11, was brutally thrashed by the accused. He was rushed to the Lala Lajpat Rai hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The victim was friends with a girl living in his neighbourhood. However, the girl's boyfriend was unhappy with it. The girl's boyfriend had warned the victim many times in the past to stay away from his girlfriend, Anurag Mishra, the station house officer of Kidwai Nagar police station said. Dalit Boy Beaten to Death For Bursting Balloon in Uttar Pradesh Temple.

On Wednesday evening, the teenager was spotted talking to the girl by her boyfriend who called his other friends and assaulted him, resulting in his death, the SHO added. A case has been registered against the accused persons, he said. In a separate incident, a Dalit boy was beaten to death for bursting balloon decorated at a temple in Aligarh.

According to the victim's friend, five boys started assaulting his friend when he burst a balloon. He complained about a severe stomach ache and was referred to Aligarh district hospital where he breathed his last on Wednesday.
