Mumbai, September 25: A shocking incident of rape has come to light from Mumbai, where a 70-year-old man allegedly kidnapped and raped a minor girl. Police officials said that the accused, who works as a security guard, was arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 14-year-old girl and sexually assaulting her in a container in Kanjurmarg. The alleged incident occurred on Monday night, September 23.

The incident came to light when two policemen of Kanjurmarg police station, who were on patrolling duty, suspected something amiss, reports HT. The cops knocked on the door of the container and nabbed the security guard after the minor girl narrated her ordeal. Police officials said that on Monday, September 23, the accused met the victim in Wadala. He claimed to be her father's friend and gave her a chocolate before making her sit in a taxi. The accused told the victim that he would drop her at her father's shop. However, the security guard took the minor girl to the Metro 3 site near the Eastern Express Highway in Kanjurmarg.

After this, he asked the victim to enter a container that was stationed on the service road. A police officer said that the elderly man locked the container and undressed the minor girl before forcing himself on her. The officer further said that the two policemen noticed two children trying to peep inside the container. Soon after the girl narrated her ordeal, the two policemen arrested the accused and rushed the victim to a hospital for medical examination. During the preliminary investigation, cops learned that the accused and the victim were residents of Wadala.
