Kandivali: CNG Cylinder Blast at Petrol Pump, Three Injured; Watch Video

Mumbai, October 20: At least three people were injured after a CNG cylinder exploded at a petrol pump in Kandivali on Saturday morning. The CNG blast took place at Milap petrol pump at around 7 am. The explosion reportedly happend during auto rickshaw refueling at the pump.

The three injured have been identified as Anil Shivram More (57), Sohail Sheikh (57) and Shailesh Tiwari (25). The auto rickshaw, whose CNG cylinder exploded, was complete charred. The driver of the vehicle sustained injury on his led. Further investigation was underway to ascertain the reason behind the blast.

“The injured were rushed to Tunga hospital, where they are being treated. All of them have sustained minor injuries. The injured’s state is not in danger," senior inspector of Kandivali police Nitin Pondkule told Mumbai Mirror.

Mahanager Gas Limited in statement said, “There was an incident of cylinder blast in an autorickshaw at Kapadia Brothers CNG filling station at Malad. CNG filling at the outlet is currently suspended and investigations for the cause of incident is being done by CCOE.”
