New Delhi, March 1: In a sad incident, the sitting judge of Delhi High Court - Justice Valmiki Mehta - passed away on Friday morning. Justice Valmiki had suffered a cardiac arrest.

Born on June 6, 1959, in Mumbai, Justice Valmiki was appointed as the Additional Judge of Delhi High Court in April 15, 2009. Prior to this, he was practicing law since 1982 and was desigated as a senior advocate on September 22, 2001. Justice Valmiki had completed his graduation in B.Com (H) from Shri Venkateshwara College in Delhi University and did his LL.B. from the Campus Law Centre of the same university.

During his career, he had chaired many important cases. He was also related with CJI Ranjan Gogoi, as his son is married to the latter's son.
