New Delhi, January 6: With the miscreants creating rampage and vandalising property inside the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Swaraj Abhiyan chief and an alumnus of JNU Yogendra Yadav on Sunday night claimed that he was attacked thrice while he was protesting at the gate against the attack on students and professors. Yadav even claimed that even an inspector -- Shiv Raj -- pushed him outside the trauma centre of AIIMS.
Expressing his angst against the high-handedness and being pushed the police outside the JNU gate and AIIMS trauma centre, Yadav took to Twitter and wrote three tweets in chronological order of being attacked and pushed. He mentioned that he was attacked thrice -- a) at around 9:30 pm while he was speaking with JNU teachers, b) 10:50 pm in which he was kicked on his face and c) 12:30 am when he was pushed outside trauma centre in AIIMS in presence of ADCP. Following this too, Yadav accused the JNU vice-chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar for presiding over the intellectual as well as physical destruction of the university. He also alleged that the police, who went to control the law and order situation, were just standing and did nothing to control it.
Here are the videos that Yogendra Yadav retweeted:
At the main gate of #JNU calls for "desh drohi vaapis Jao" by evidently right wing crowd which is also jostling about @_YogendraYadav. Media colleagues, those of you who mainstreamed 'Tukde Tukde', this shameful coarseness is also on you tonight #JNU pic.twitter.com/FSJsdr63e8

In the meantime, Union Home Ministry has asked the Delhi Police Commissioner to take appropriate action against the guilty and ordered an inquiry to be carried out by a Joint CP level officer. He also sought a report regarding the same to be submitted at the ministry soon.
Also, protest march in solidarity with JNU is being organised where over 42 students and teacher were beaten by masked armed mob on Sunday. Though no arrest have been made so far, police have confirmed that they would soon FIRs based on the received complaints.
