JNU Violence: JNUSU President Aishe Ghosh Says ‘False Narrative Being Created’ After Delhi Police Name Her for Violence

New Delhi, December 10: Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) president Aishe Ghosh said that the false narrative has been created by the police. She also said that police have no proof of her attacking anyone. This development comes after Delhi police on Friday named Aishe Ghosh, 8 other suspects in Jawaharlal Nehru University campus violence case. "We have not done anything wrong. We are not afraid, we will not budge. False narrative being created. No proof where I am seen attacking anyone. Delhi Police can do their inquiry. I also have evidence to show how I was attacked," JNUSU president Aishe Ghosh on the Delhi police investigation in the campus violence case.

The cops said that most of the suspects are affiliated to the Left-controlled students' union. The police named Aishe Ghosh, Yogendra Bhardwaj, Vikas Patel. Pankaj Mishra, Aishe Ghosh, Chunchun Kumar, Sucheta Talukdar, Waskar Vijay, Priya Ranjan and Dolan Sawant. Vikas Patel and Yogendra Bhardwaj are said to be the members of Bharatiya Janata Party-linked Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad or ABVP.
Joy Trikey, the deputy commissioner of police, who heads the special investigation team (SIT) on JNU Violence admitted that they were facing difficulties in identifying the attackers because of a lack of CCTV footage. He also said that notices will be served to the people identified.
