Jammu, October 28: A joint team of Army's 22 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a cordon and search operation in Sopore's Zaloora on Sunday morning. According to a tweet by ANI, the action was taken after suspicion of suspected terrorists in the region.

In a separate incident, suspected terrorists attacked Army Camp in Tral's Bajwani o Saturday night. Reports inform that no loss was reported in the attack. Meanwhile, a panchayat ghar (house)  in Nowpora area of Sopore was set ablaze by unknown persons on Saturday night. As soon as the incident was reported, fire tenders reached the spot and doused the fire. Jammu And Kashmir: Two Terrorists Gunned Down in Encounter at Baramulla.

On Saturday,  a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) ASI was martyred in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar after terrorists lobbed a grenade on him.  According to a tweet by ANI, the CISF ASI  was deployed for security of a power grid at Wagoora Nowgam in Srinagar late on Friday night.

Earlier this week, two militants and an Army jawan were killed during an encounter between ultras and security forces in Sopore area of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. "Two terrorists have been killed in the Sopore operation," Srinagar-based Defence Spokesman Col Rajesh Kalia said. Kalia said a soldier also lost his life in the gunbattle.
