Ranchi, October 16: A six-year-old girl fell after suffering a heart attack during morning assembly prayer at school and died. The incident took place at Shiksha Niketan school in the Telco area of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand on Tuesday. The deceased student was identified as Vaishnavi Jha. Class 10 Student Dies After Falling Into Drain in Uttar Pradesh.

Teachers said that Vaishnavi was normal when she arrived in school on Tuesday. She was standing in the assembly line when she suddenly fell on the floor. "We rushed her to the hospital, but couldn't save her. Doctors said she suffered a heart attack," school principal Sunita Dey was quoted as saying. The school offered condolences prayers and observed a two-minute silence in her memory. A holiday was declared for the day.
