Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2019: PM Narendra Modi Urges Youngsters to Cast Their Vote in Phase 3 Polls Today

Ranchi, December 12: The third phase of the Jharkhand Assembly polls scheduled today has started from 7 AM. PM Narendra Modi in a tweet urged people to go out and cast their vote. He said, "Urging all those whose seats go to the polls today to vote in large numbers. I particularly urge my young friends to vote."
The 17 constituencies where voting is being conducted today are- Ranchi, Hatia, Kanke, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Kodarma, Barkatha, Barhi, Mandu, Simaria, Barkagaon, Dhanwar, Gomia, Bermo, Ichagarh, Silli, and Khijri. The Election Commission has made strict security arrangements, as 12 constituencies out of the 17 are stated to be under the influence of left-wing extremism (LWE). In phase 1 and phase 2, there have been incidents of violence that were reported. Polling will end at 5 pm and over 56 lakh voters will decide the fate of 309 candidates, including 32 women, in the third phase. The counting of votes and declaration of results will take place on December 23.
Modi held rallies in Jharkhand's Barhi and Bokaro constituencies on Monday. He cautioned the people of Jharkhand against the Congress and its allies and alleged that the party has intentions to push the state to uncertainty and darkness.
