Chennai, November 11: It is going to be almost two years now since the death of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, but the mystery surrounding her death still remains unsolved. In the latest twist to Jayalalithaa's death, senior AIADMK leader and minister Dindigul C Srinivasan has alleged that Jayalalithaa was driven to death by her long-time close aide VK Sasikala. According to a report by Hindustan Times, Srinivasan accused Sasikala and her family members of giving 'slow poison' to Jayalalithaa by giving her food unsuitable for her health condition. The report further informed that the allegations were made at a party function at Nilakkottai in Dindigul district on Saturday. The statement went viral on social media on Sunday after a video of the event emerged and was circulated. The report further informs that the minister accused both, Sasikala and her nephew, TTV Dhinakaran who is now leading a rebel faction of AIADMK. Jayalalithaa Death Probe: Apollo Hospitals Asked to Submit CCTV Footages 

Srinivasan alleged that Jayalalithaa had diabetes but Sasikala was unconcerned and fed her food items which were not favourable for Jayalalithaa's health which eventually led to the death of their beloved leader. He said the party was even ready to take Jayalalithaa to foreign countries for treatment, adding that the Arumugasamy commission enquiring into Jayalalithaa’s death will reveal who had prevented from taking ‘Amma’.

In September, the Justice A Arumughaswamy Commission of Inquiry probing the death of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had completed examining as many as 100 witnesses. Jayalalithaa Was Never Pregnant, Tamil Nadu Government Tells Madras High Court.

Meanwhile, this year in October, the Apollo Hospital in Chennai said to a panel probing the death of late J Jayalalithaa, that CCTV cameras in the corridors were switched off during the former chief minister's movement inside the premises based on instructions by police.
