Jammu & Kashmir: Militants Kill Police Sub-Inspector in Pulwama; PDP Activist Shot Dead on Outskirts of Srinagar City

Srinagar, October 28: Militants pulled out a police sub-inspector from his vehicle in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Sunday, dragged him away and shot him dead from close range, police said. The private vehicle driven by the officer, Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, was halted in Wahibugh area where he was killed.

In another incident in the valley, militants shot dead a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) activist on Sunday on the outskirts of Srinagar city.

Police said the militants fired from close range at Muhammad Amin Bhat in Gangbugh area. He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, a police officer said.
