Jammu & Kashmir Put on High Alert After Intelligence Agencies Spot Terrorist Movement Along LoC

After the terrorist movement was spotted along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB), a high alert has been issued in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Intelligence agencies cited heavy terrorist movement near the LoC, including Machhil and Keran sector.

Srinagar, October 4: After the terrorist movement was spotted along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB), a high alert has been sounded in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Security agencies cited heavy terrorist movement near the LoC, including Machhil and Keran sector. According to a report published in India Today, terrorists have also been spotted at a launchpad site in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir’s (PoK) Jura area. The region is located close to Keran sector in the Indian side. A total of six Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists were active at different regions in PoK, said intelligence agencies.

Three groups of terrorists have been located near Bhimber Gali sector in Mohra across the LoC, reported India Today. Terrorists were also been seen at Lanjot, Dadot and Tejian areas near LoC. Last month, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat said that Pakistan had reactivated the Balakot terror camp very recently. Recently reports also surfaced that at least seven terror launch pads were reactivated along the LoC. As per sources, some of the terrorists waiting to infiltrate into India were trained at the Jaish-e-Mohammad camp in Balakot which was bombed by Indian Air Force in February this year.
