Sopore, February 2: In a major breakthrough for security forces, Sopore police on Saturday busted a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror module and solved the grenade throwing case. Three suspects were arrested and the police are carrying out further investigation in the case. This module was also responsible for the grenade attack at SBI camp of 179 BN CRPF in Sopore on January 25. Jammu and Kashmir: Security Forces Kill 3 Terrorists in Budgam, Encounter Underway.
According to reports, police first detained all the three accused on the basis of suspicion during the investigation into the Sopore attack. During questioning, the three accused confessed to their crime, reported Greater Kashmir.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, terrorists lobbed a grenade near Shairbagh police station in Anantnag. Four civilians and one CRPF personnel have been injured in the attack. The mobile services were also jammed for a while in the area. Earlier on Wednesday too, three civilians were injured when the terrorists hurled a grenade at a police station in Kulgam of Kashmir. Though no casualties were reported, the peace in the Kashmir Valley was disturbed. Similar attacks took place in different police stations across the state.
