Poonch, September 28: The Pakistan Army violated ceasefire on Saturday in Shahpur and Kirni sectors of Poonch district along the Line of Control (LoC). Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing at about 5 pm today. They used small arms and mortars to target the Indian Army posts. There are no reports of any casualties or collateral damage till now in the cross-border firing. According to reports, firing is still going on. More details are awaited. In Pakistan’s aggression, at least 21 people lost their lives. Ever since the Narendra Modi government abrogated Article 370 of the Indian Constitution which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan has resorted to multiple ceasefire violations along the LoC. India has repeatedly called upon Pakistan to ask its forces to adhere to the 2003 ceasefire agreement between the two countries.
