Jammu, November 28: Two terrorists were gunned down by security forces in a gunfight with militants in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. According to a tweet by ANI, the gunfight is underway in Budgam's Chattergam area. A K Bhatt, GOC Army’s 15 Corps informed that in the operation in Budgam, two terrorists were killed, one of them is Naveed Jatt, the killer of Shujaat Bukhari. Bhatt informed that two army men who were injured were immediately rushed to the hospital and both are out of danger. The incident comes a day after three militants, including one from an ISIS offshoot, and a soldier were killed while two jawans suffered injuries in two separate encounters in Kulgam and Pulwama districts on Tuesday.
In the Kulgam encounter, two militants of the terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were killed, while the one killed in Pulwama belonged to the Ansar Ghazwatul Hind, an ISIS offshoot, police informed. The Police official informed that as the searches were going on, militants fired on the forces, who retaliated. He said that the two militants were killed in the ensuing gunfight while three soldiers were injured. The injured soldier who succumbed at a hospital has been identified as Sapper Prakash Jadhav. As per reports, the two militants killed in Kulgam were affiliated to the outlawed Lashkar-e-Taiba and have been identified as Ajaz Ahmad Makroo and Waris Ahmad Malik. Police informed that Makroo was a close associate of LeT commander Naveed Jat and Azad Dada. In another operation in Tral, a militant was killed in an encounter with security forces. The militant has been identified as Shakir Hassan Dar of Ansar Ghazwatul Hind headed by Zakir Musa, the spokesman said.
