Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir), August 21: An exchange of fire is underway between the security forces and terrorists in Handwara town of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district. More details are awaited.

Earlier in the day, two incidents of ceasefire violation were reported. An army jawan was injured in an unprovoked firing from Pakistan in Tangdhar sector of the district. The Pakistani forces also engaged in another ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kamalkote village in Baramulla district's Uri.
