Srinagar, November 22: In another terror strike in the Valley, suspected terrorists attacked the Indian Army's Rashtriya Rifles camp in Kulgam district. The assault was responded to immediately by the security forces, forcing the militants to flee from the spot.
While no casualties were reported in the encounter, one civilian was caught in the cross-fire. The injured victim, identified as Muskan Jan, was rushed to the nearest civic hospital where his treatment was initiated. The Army, along with the CRPF and the Jammu & Kashmir police, has launched a search operation to nab the gunmen who launched fire at the RR camp.
Jammu and Kashmir: One civilian injured during an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists, the exchange of fire ensued after terrorists fired upon a camp in Khudwani area of Kulgam. The injured has been admitted to hospital. Security forces have cordoned the area.

The terror strike comes two days after the Army successfully eliminated four militants - affiliated to the Lashkar-e-Taiba - in Shopian district. One Army jawan was also martyred in the operation on Tuesday.
South Kashmir has recently seen a spurt in militancy activities, with terrorists affiliated to Al-Badr being involved in a gunfight with the forces in Shopian on Saturday. The encounter led to the killing of four militants affiliated to the extremist outfit.
In Shopian district, the militants had also abducted 7 civilians last week -- out of them 2 were killed on suspicion of being "Army informers".
