Anantnag, June 17: Two Army official including an Army major were injured in an encounter with militants at Bidoora village in Achabal area of Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district. According to reports, Army officer, Rahul Verma, and army men belonged to 19 Rashtriya Rifles. "Hiding militants opened fire just as the cordon around them was being tightened. Two militants were killed and their bodies recovered. The bodies were recovered by the joint team during the search operation. Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and special operations group of J&K police surrounded the village following information about the presence of terrorists. Investigations are underway to ascertain the affiliation and identities of the slain.
