Srinagar, May 16: The encounter that broke out between the security forces and terrorists on early Thursday morning in Pulwama's Dalipora area, concluded after three terrorists were gunned down and a jawan martyred in the firing. The martyred jawan has been identified as Army Jawan Sepoy Sandeep. Jammu and Kashmir Encounters: 6 Terrorists, 12-Year-Old Boy Killed in 3 Separate Gunfights.

The encounter began early morning after the security forces, which included the troops of the Central Reserve Police Force, Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group, were conducting a search-and-cordon operation. The exchange of gunfire between the security forces and the terrorists continued for a little over three hours, reported ANI. The terrorists were holed up in a house. A civilian also died in the operations, who was caught in the crossfire.
