Baramulla, October 25: Two terrorists have been killed by the security forces in Keeri area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday. The encounter broke out after the terrorists fired upon the security personnel during a cordon and search operation launched by the forces in the area. The joint operation was carried out by the 29 Rashtriya Rifles, special operations group (SOG) of J&K police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The operation has concluded now. As per reports, the security forces did not suffer any casualties.
Meanwhile, two terrorists were killed by the Indian Army in an encounter near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu's Sunderbani sector. Three army personnel were also martyred in the gunfight. The slain terrorists belonged to Pakistan. The Army asked the Pakistan military to take back bodies of terrorists. The intruders were believed to be members of a Border Action Team (BAT) comprising Pakistan Army jawans and trained terrorists.
The reports also surfaced that terrorists across the border are planning to conduct a series of attacks in India. According to India Today Report, Two programmes were arranged in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) on October 19 and 20 in which around 100 suicide attackers took an oath to wage war against India. Pakistan-backed banned terror-organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) organised the functions in its 'Shohdai Kashmir' conference (Kashmir martyrs') in PoK in Kotli and Rawlakot on October 20 and 21.
