Jammu, March 29: The security forces on Friday gunned down two terrorists in a brief gunfight in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. According to a tweet by ANI, four Army jawans have been injured in the ongoing encounter in Budgam. Reports inform that the encounter broke out between security forces and militants in Sustu village in Budgam district. As per reports, the four jawans, who sustained injuries, belong to 50 Rashtriya Rifles while the slain terrorists are believed to be affiliated to Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM). According to a report by India Today, the terrorists were holed up in Parigam in a residential area when the joint forces of Army and CRPF cordoned off the area on specific inputs about the presence of militants. On Thursday, four militants were killed in two encounters with security forces in Shopian and Kupwara districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, a joint team of Army and Special Operations Group of J&K Police launched cordon and search operation on the basis of specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
