Jammu, February 1: Two Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militants have been gunned down by security forces in a Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Friday. According to details by Police, the gunfight broke out in Pulwama’s Rajpora area. According to a tweet by ANI, the security forces informed that the bodies of the two terrorists have been retrieved and their identity has been ascertained. The slain terrorists have been identified as Shahid Ahmad Baba and Aniyat Ahmad Ziger. Reports inform that both the terrorists are affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The Police has recovered one SLR and one Pistol recovered from them.

According to a report by IANS, Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the special operations group (SOG) of state police surrounded the village late on Thursday after receiving information about the hiding militants. Reports inform that the information was posted on Udhampur headquartered Northern Command's website. "Two terrorists killed in a joint operation in Drabgam," it said. In the last week, three militants were killed in a gunfight with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district. Police informed that the security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Binner area of the district following information about the presence of militants in the area.
