Jammu and Kashmir: Two Intruders Caught Near LoC in Lam Sector, One Gunned Down by Army

Jammu, Sep 5: Two intruders were caught near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Lam sector on Wednesday. According to a tweet by ANI, one of the intruders was shot dead by the Indian Army when he challenged them and the other one is absconding. Reports inform that a postmortem will be conducted before the body is handed over to Pakistan. In a separate incident on Wednesday morning, a group of militants attacked a patrol party of the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said. The 55 Rashtriya Rifles' (RR) patrol party was fired upon by the militants in Haji Darpora village.
Earlier today, an over-ground worker of Hizbul Mujahideen, who was involved in reviving militancy in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, has been arrested. The Jammu and Kashmir Police informed that the worker has been identified as Touseef Ahmad Gudna alias Abu Bakar and was arrested on specific information Tuesday.
According to a report by PTI, Gudna's name came to the fore during an interrogation of the two Hizbul Mujahideen activists who were arrested on July 1. The report further informs that Gudna is a close associate of Hizb ul Mujahideen Mohammad Amin alias Jehangir. He was also involved in a militancy-related case registered in police station Parimpora in Srinagar last year, said a police spokesman.
