Anatnag, November 26: At least two civilians lost their lives in a grenade attack in Panchayat Ghar Hakura of Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag. According to reports, six civilians were injured in the attack. They were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. However, two civilians succumbed to their injuries. The security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to nab the terrorists.
It is the second a grenade attack which rocked Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier in the day, a blast occurred near the gate of the University of Kashmir. In the grenade attack, four people were reportedly injured. The blast took place near the gate of the university in Hazratbal area of Srinagar. The police immediately reached the spot after the incident and started the investigation.

On Monday, two terrorists were killed in an encounter that broke out in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The security forces launched a search operation in the area after receiving information about the presence of terrorists. The encounter broke out as the terrorists opened fire after security personnel cordoned off the area.
