Jammu and Kashmir: Terrorists Hurl Rifle Grenade on CRPF Camp in Pulwama, One Personnel Injured

According to a tweet by ANI, the incident took place in Pulwama's Newa area where one CRPF personnel has been injured in the attack. Reports inform that a cordon and search operation has been launched in the area.

Jammu, October 15: Terrorists hurled a rifle grenade on a camp of 183 battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Monday. According to a tweet by ANI, the incident took place in Pulwama's Newa area where one CRPF personnel has been injured in the attack. Reports inform that a cordon and search operation has been launched in the area.

On Saturday, a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant was gunned down by security forces in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. The slain militant was identified as Sabir Ahmad Dar who belonged to HM outfit. Reports by PTI inform that the search operation was launched in south Kashmir district during the night after inputs of the presence of militants in the area. Details by Police inform that search operation turned into an encounter after the militant fired upon the forces who then retaliated.
