Pulwama, August 22: Terrorists attacked another cop in Jammu and Kashmir. Constable Mohammed Yaqoob has been attacked by the terrorists in Pulwama district today in the evening. His condition is reported to be critical. It is the second attack on police in the day in Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier in the day, A policeman was shot dead by terrorists in Kulgam district. The terrorists shot at the 34-year-old Fayaz Ahmad Shah outside an eidgah in Kulgam's Zazripora when he was returning home after offering Eid prayers. Shah was a resident of Zazri Pora village in Kulgam district. The police have registered a case and launched a manhunt operation to nab the terrorists.

Last month, a police constable was kidnapped and murdered in Kulgam. In the same month, another police official Javed Ahmad Dar was abducted from his village in Shopian and stabbed to death by suspected terrorists. In the recent months, there has been an increase in terror attacks on local policemen in South Kashmir. Similarly, on June 14, An Indian Army Rifleman, Aurangzeb was killed by terrorists in Pulwama when he was on his way to him for celebrating Eid.
