In a big win for security forces, six terrorists have been neutralised in an encounter in Tral in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
Pulwama, December 22: In a big win for security forces, six terrorists have been neutralised in an encounter in Tral in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday. A cordon and search operation carried out by a joint team of Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K police after receiving information of presence of terrorists in the area. As per reports, the gun battle broke out as the terrorists opened fire on the security forces.
However, the deceased terrorists have not been identified till now. A huge amount of arms and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists. Combing operation is underway. On November 26, a terrorist was also gunned down in Tral. He was killed after a joint team of army’s 42RR, 180 BN CRPF, and SOG cordoned off the area.
In another encounter in November, six terrorists were killed in a gunfight that broke n Kapran Batagund area, Shopian district. One soldier was also martyred in that encounter. This year, close to 250 terrorists have been gunned down by the security forces in the Kashmir Valley.
