Jammu and Kashmir: Schools Within 5 Kms of LoC Reopens in Rajouri, Days After Tension Between India and Pakistan Recede
All schools within a range of zero to five kilometres from International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) were closed as preventive measure in Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir.
Rajouri, March 7: Days after the doors of primary schools were shut due to the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, the district administration of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir reopened on Thursday. All these while since February 27, schools within a range of zero to five kilometres from International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) were closed as preventive measure.
Informing more about the latest development, DDC Rajouri – MA Asad – said, as reported by the ANI, “84 educational institutions within 5 km of LoC have reopened. Classes & exams are ongoing as usual now. Earlier, with the advisory issued by several District Magistrate to close all government and private schools within a range of zero to five kilometres from International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC), even the exams were postponed until further orders.
In the meantime, gunfire violations continue between India and Pakistan frequently, after the aerial engagement between PAF’s F-16 fighter jet and Indian MiG 21 sparked the heated tension between the two nations on February 27.
