Jammu, November 20: Two Indian soldiers were injured on Tuesday on the Line of Control (LoC) as Pakistani troops broke the 2003 ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri and Poonch districts. Defence Ministry sources said the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violations using small arms, automatics and mortar shells.

"Two soldiers were injured," an official said. One of them, in Lam area of Rajouri, suffered sniper fire from across the LoC.

"Indian positions retaliated strongly. The injured soldiers have been shifted to hospital for treatment," the official said. Jammu and Kashmir: Indian, Pakistani Armies Exchange Heavy Fire at Line of Control in Poonch District.

The Pakistani attack started around 7 a.m. Two mortar shells fired by the Pakistan Army landed close to the brigade headquarters in Poonch while another landed in a village.
