Nowshera, February 24: Pakistani troops violated ceasefire on Sunday in Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district. The unprovoked ceasefire violation took place around 5:15 pm today, reported news agency ANI. According to reports, the army was retaliating strongly and effectively. There were no casualties reported on the Indian Side in the cross-border firing. Jammu And Kashmir: One Terrorist Gunned Down in Kulgam Encounter; Police DSP Martyred, Two Army Personnel Injured.
Meanwhile earlier today, security forces in Tarigam area of Kulgam district gunned down a terrorist. In the encounter, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Aman Thakur was martyred. In the attack, two Army personnel including a Major rank officer also sustained injuries in the gun-battle. Earlier, on February 18, three JeM (Jaish-e-Mohammed) terrorist have been gunned down in an encounter in Pulwama district's Pinglan area. One of the terrorists was identified as Abdul Rasheed Ghazi, the mastermind of February 14 Pulwama Terror Attack which claimed lives of 40 CRPF jawans. Meanwhile, on Friday, two more JeM terrorists were neutralised in Warpora village of Kashmir's Sapore.
