Pulwama, July 16: One policeman has died while other injured in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama. The terrorists have fired upon police post outside National Conference (NC) leader Gh  Muhadin's house. Based on the initial probe, Zahoor Thokar group of Hizbul Mujahideen terror outfit is belived to be involved in the attack. This is not the first time that NC leader is attacked. On July 6, terrorists hurled a grenade at the residence of Mohammad Ashraf Bhat’s house in Tral area of Pulwama district.

Even in October last year, Bhat was targeted by the terrorists. The terrorists lobbed grenade at Bhat. Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans were injured in the attack. On July 8, terrorists also hurled a grenade at a CRPF camp of 180 battalion in Pulwama.

On June 29, three Army men were injured when terrorists attacked a patrol party in Shopian district. Four CRPF personnel were also injured in another grenade attack on June 3.

The terrorist attacks have increased in the Kashmir valley after the death of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, who was killed in 2016 in an encounter. Till July 1, 108 terrorists were killed by the security forces whereas 43 defence personnel lost their lives.
