Srinagar, April 6: Hours after the Indian Army neutralised two terrorists in Padguchi area of Imam Sahib in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district, a sad piece of news arrived from Warpora Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district where suspected militants shot down an army man. The martyr has been identified as Mohd Rafeeq Yatoo.
Soon after the incident, the jawan was carried to the hospital, but succumbed to injuries. As per the initial information, the jawan was shot at point blank range by the suspected militants and was on leave when the incident took place. Earlier in the day, the Indian Army killed two terrorists when in an exchange of fire with terrorists in Padguchi area of Imam Sahib in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district. The cordon was launched after the security forces got credible inputs of terrorists in the area.
Also, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested an ‘over ground worker’ of terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in connection with the February 14 Pulwama terror attack. The accused has been identified as Syed Hilal Andrabi, who also had a connection with the 2017 Lethpora CRPF terror attack case. Andrabi has been sent to five days police custody.
