Srinagar, November 21: Parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are set to receive heavy snowfall and rainfall over the next 24 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. The weather agency has also issued a 'yellow alert' for the Jammu and Kashmir for November 21, and Himachal Pradesh and J&K for November 22. The yellow alert states 'Be updated' while the orange alert states 'Be prepared'; Red states 'Take action' and Green alert states 'No warning'. In Himachal Pradesh, the yellow weather warning for heavy rain and snowfall in the eight districts including Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Solan, Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti. In Jammu and Kashmir, the yellow alert has been issued particularly at isolated places particularly over Kashmir Valley.
Apart from the three states, widespread rainfall is very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on Thursday and Friday. In Delhi, the sky will mainly be clear on Thursday, even if the air quality in the national capital inched towards severe category again. The minimum and maximum temperatures hovering around 12 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius.
According to reports, the sky will mainly be clear in Mumbai, with the temperature hovering around 21 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the region is 60 per cent.
