Jammu And Kashmir: Grenades Hurled at National Conference Leader's Residence in Pulwama, None Hurt

Terrorists on Sunday hurled grenades on the residence of National Conference leader Ghulam Mohi Ud din Mir in Muran village of Jammu & Kashmir's Pulwama district.

Pulwama, June 2: Terrorists on Sunday hurled grenades on the residence of National Conference leader Ghulam Mohi Ud din Mir in Muran village of Jammu & Kashmir's Pulwama district. According to early reports, the grenades exploded outside the compound wall. According to Greater Kashmir report, the incident took place around 5 pm on June 2. “The grenade exploded after hitting the compound wall with a deafening boom, causing no injuries or loss of life”, the official added. Meanwhile, a police case has been registered and investigations are on.

Last month, a local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Gul Muhammad Mir was shot dead by suspected terrorists in Anantnag district. He was the party's district vice-president. According to reports, three terrorists came to his residence in Nowgam Verinag area and asked for his car keys. While they were driving the vehicle away, they shot Mir, who is popularly known as "Atal" in the area.
