Jammu, August 26: The security forces on Sunday arrested four terrorists from Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara. According to a tweet by ANI, the arrest happened after a brief gunfight between the security forces and militants in Kupwara's Handwara town. Reports inform that Police has seized the arms and ammunition from them. The magazine of an AK rifle, an INSAS magazine and one UBGL were seized, a spokesman said.

The spokesman further informed that three people, allegedly working for militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen group, were arrested. Cases under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code or the IPC were registered against them. According to a PTI report, the four over-ground workers (OGWs) of terrorist outfits were arrested. Moreover, three hideouts were busted in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir. On Friday, an Army jawan was martyred in a mine blast in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with security forces also busted a hideout in Rajpora Litter area and arrested an over-ground worker, a spokesperson informed. Reports inform that incriminating material along with improvised explosive device (IED) material was recovered from the hideout.  In another incident, two hideouts were busted in Khallen and Tahab villages of Pulwama district.
