Jammu and Kashmir: Five CRPF Men Injured In Grenade Attack at Bijbehara's Zerpora

In another terrorist attack on security forces, five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel injured after terrorists hurled grenade at its bunker in Bijbehara's Zerpora.

Srinagar, July 26: In another terrorist attack on security forces, five Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured after terrorists hurled grenade at its bunker in Bijbehara's Zerpora on Wednesday. The terrorists attack 90 Battalion of the CRPF. According to the latest reports, security forces have launched a search operation to nab the terrorists.  The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.

The injured CRPF men were identified as Ominder Singh, Pankaj Kumar, Nitin Kumar, B Kumar and Yoginder Singh. Earlier in the day, an encounter broke out in Kupwara's Handwara district. One terrorist reported being killed in the encounter which is still underway. Two to three terrorists are reported to be holed up in the area.

The attack came just a day after two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in Anantnag. Earlier this week, three terrorists were also killed in an encounter with the security forces in Khudwani area of Kulgam district. There is an increase in terror attacks on security forces in the last two months. On July 9, terrorists also carried out two grenade attack on CRPF camp in Tral.
