Jammu And Kashmir: Encounter Breaks Out in Sopore, Three Terrorists Trapped

Srinagar, February 21: An encounter is ongoing between held up militants and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district. At least three terrorists are believed to be trapped.
Security forces on Thursday evening launched a Cordon And Search Operation (CASO) in Warpora area in Sopore after getting a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in the area.
As the military was closing in on the group, militants fired on the forces resulting in an encounter. A team of Special Operation Group (SOG), the Army and CRPF are engaged in the gunfight with terrorists.
